GIFT NOOK

Gift Nook Creations was conceptualized when I was looking for a special gift for a godson on his christening day and for a good friend who was going to get married. Wanting to give something that was handcrafted yet elegant and practical, I search the net for some gift ideas and i chanced upon an online store selling diaper cakes and towel cakes. They're sooo uber-cute! I decided to make my own and the creations were so attractive that even the churchgoers attending the mass couldn’t take their eyes off them. I thought that making diaper cakes my creative skills to good use, especially since a diaper cake business is a novel idea in the Philippines.

 

After creating several cakes for friends, I decided to try making business thru the net, as a sideline to my freelance BPO job. Aside from diaper cakes,our product line now includes other whimsical and cleverly-made gift items such as diaper wreaths, baby bouquets, washcloth lollipops and more.

We are located in Naga City, Camarines Sur, Philippines. This is a mommy-owned business which gets inspirations from my smart three-year-old son, Mig (who serves as a quality controller and toy tester), my pretty thirteen-year-old daughter, Bambi (who acts as the judge and critic) and my supportive husband, Mike (who does the digital photography, flash animations and occasional back massages).

The article above was written two years ago. My son is now five, my daughter's fifteen and we have our newly opened brick-and-mortar store! That's my two year's worth of blessings!
